Veteran’s Day- is a recognized legal U.S. holiday usually celebrated on November 11, where we give a special thanks and recognition to those who served our country.

Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving.
Many wear poppies on this day to remember those that fought in the battles. These little red flowers symbolize hope and way to a better world, and honor the fallen comrades, whose spilled blood was the same as the color of the poppies.
There are several simple activities you can do to help veterans. For example, “Operation Gratitude” is where you can send individually addressed care packages to the U.S. military community. You can also send handwritten and personalized letters of gratitude along with your package.
